Besides the unusual „Kandy”-watches with guilloched dials, the Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufacturer has produced two elegant models of this watch line in classic style. Actually, it is contradictory to interpret a watch in a square case as a classic and timeless beauty. It is exactly this idea behind the model and many other watches of the “Avantgarde”-collection by “Alexander Shorokhoff“: to interpret things in a new way, to create controversially, to provoke.
Consequently, Alexander Shorokhov has once more proves that he is able to connect the contrasts of classical and modern art into one harmonious ensemble. He remains true to his principles concerning the design of all watches of the “Avantgarde”-collection. As usual the dials are decorated by large figures 20, 40 and 60. The surface of the plain silver or black watch “faces“ is first treated circularly, and only after this, it is covered by enamel. The result is a very brightly shining feeling.
The case is extraordinary, too. It is first made without any lugs – they are later welded to the back side. In this way it becomes possible to insert the grooves for the case’s edges silver or golden wires or – by customers‘ request –coloured enamel.
The back side is also distinguished by a particular appearance. Here are four small round glass elements in three different avant-garde colours – red, yellow and blue.
„Art on the wrist“ – this is the slogan of the manufacturer. The new created watch “Kandy“ is in any case a great example for this, even in its more classical form.
