The automatic chronograph “Blue Sapphire” is more than just a simple timepiece. It is one of the most elegant watches in the Avantgarde collection. Primarily, it captures attention through its distinctive design. The dial is dominated by the large numbers 60, 40, and 20, as well as by the two “eyes” serving as seconds and minutes counters for the stopwatch function.
However, the highlight of this model is the specially coated sapphire glass, which appears bluish at first glance. In reality, it’s not just blue; a complicated process gives the sapphire glass a special coating that creates an unusual interplay of colors. It can appear greenish, reddish, or bluish in different positions, depending on how the watch is held.
Truly, this chronograph is a highlight, also in terms of its quality. The brushed case with the polished bezel and the sapphire glass back enclose a refined and hand-engraved rotor with blued screws and 49 jewels.
A blue calfskin strap with white contrast stitching and an engraved solid stainless steel buckle completes the exquisite watch.
